    It’s not just about touch-feely, but about the fact that some medical conditions cannot be properly diagnosed and managed without an in-person, physical evaluation. It’s more like “it’s likely this, if not, I’ll refer them on.” Unfortunately, by then, it might be too late – permanent damage already done.

      Lisa Shin, very valid point you made! That is why it is so important to practice Telemedicine properly; with an ED MD and their team in the room to do the physical aspect of the eval. While we are present for expertise and guidance, there is always an attending physician present, along with Registered Nurses, coordinators, and so on and so forth.
